Good Albums By Bad Artists

I kind of like Boston...

As for good releases by bad artists, I'll have to go with Lunar Strain by In Flames. Such an energetic first release that had a fairly stand out sound. Nothing else they've released managed to get close to that feel, and almost sounded like a third rate At The Gates even.

If we're talking a band having 5 good albums out of say 20 or more, and all came early in the band's career, does that make the band "bad" so to speak? Couldn't we say rather that it was a good band who ran out of ideas and should've just stopped then? E.g. Kiss, and others...

Alright then bad example, but what of the general point. Stream of good albums early on followed by crap for all time to come. Bad band altogether, or good band who should have stopped but didn't.

What 3 just out of curiosity? Tin Machine don't count! Tonight got a lot of negativity but except for two tracks, I love that album!

you definitely were waaaayyy to offended there.
It's okay to get worked up about something but not if it's about the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

ha wow. is someone going to say anything?
RUN WHILE YOU STILL CAN!!!!

I think you're just splitting hairs. I define a bad band by banRAB who make bad recorRAB. As I would consider approx 85% of Kiss's output is bad then I think yes it's perfectly acceptable to call them a bad band.
Should they have stopped? well just after they made those 6 albums (From 77 onwarRAB) they had their most mainstream popularity , so someone liked the recorRAB they put out after , so why would they stop?
