I agree with Panama Joe. It's a terrible idea. Hollywood has to much respect for it's classics to soil them with Disney rejects. Rhett Butler is suppose to be a man, you got Efron playing a man? That's just ridiculous. I's Justin Bieber an actor now? I thought it was a 12 year old boy pretending to be a grown up.
 
I have hear of much talk regarding the Gone with the wind remake. Who will you think to play the parts. Hear are my picks for actor

Scarlett O'Hara: Natalie Portman
Rhett Butler: Zac Efron
Ashley Wilkes: Justin Bieber
Melanie: Miley Cyrus

I hope dis are the choices.
 
I hope it dies a quick and painless death.

Remakes tend to suck, and remakes of classics should never be made. The family of Margaret Mitchell has allowed two sequels to be written, and one of them, "Scarlett" was made into a TV movie that I saw ... maybe 10 minutes of before turning it off. Remaking the original can do it (the story) and the original no good, and can only soil, or at least sour what is arguably the best movie ever made.

If this thing is ever made, I'll be urging people to skip it.

Miley Cyrus, indeed. Olivia de Havilland!
