Gone Baby Gone

I have just been to see this film an I really liked it , its a grimy bleak film about a child abduction , If you liked the TV show The Wire you will like this ,
I must say Both Affleck Bros did well here, I can well understand why this wasnt released awhile ago as the lil girl who is snatched looks very similiar to Maddie ,My only concerns were a few continuity errors in the plot but the acting was first rate , I especially found Amy Ryan superb....
The ending certainly left me shell shocked an upset
I give it 8/10

Saw this last night, thought it was great (other than getting confused a little bit but that's just me lol). The only thing I found a bit annoying is Casey Affleck's speech - wish he'd open his mouth and speak a bit more clearly!!

Watched it last night - surprising in places, good solid performances all round, plus it contained one of my most favourite actors - Mr Ed Harris:) yep 8/10 but only because they didn't pander to the audience especially at the end - though the script tried a little too hard in places to be edgy.

Saw it on Saturday and I thought it was too slow in parts. If it had been edited down to 90 minutes it would've been a much better film 6/10

If you have access to the German Premiere movie channels it is currently being shown there, as the film was released in Germany last year the same as everywhere else apart from the UK. Why go to the cinema when you can watch it at home for free? :p

Paddy :D

I saw this last night and whilst I thought it was very good, what spoilt it for me was the amount of bad language; it was excessive and even included a couple of uses of the C word which is still fairly unusual in a 15 film. Also, as somebody said earlier, I had difficulty in understanding Casey Affleck as well.

If you want to see this at the cinema you better hurry up. The 2 Cineworld cinemas I go to are Harlow (6 screens) and Stevenage (16 screens). At Harlow the film finishes tomorrow and from Friday Stevenage only have one afternoon showing and one early evening showing.

Saw the film tonight and thought it was very good. I've not seen Caey in much other than the Ocean films so was nice to see him in a different role. Enjoyed the film and the twists although some where a little predictable.
I can understand why they delayed the release of this film.
7/10

I think it was a silly idea to not release this when it was suppose to come out. I mean , Madeleine was missing for 5 months, when this film was released in the USA. 100s of kiRAB go missing each year in England, but as always with our dumbed down country now. we only care about the ones in the paper.

We were surprised to find this film was a full house in our local cinema when we went on Saturday. Luckily we were able to find good seats though!

I've been a fan of Ben Affleck movies since the awesome Good Will Hunting (which he co-wrote with Matt Damon), so the chance to see his directorial debut was unmissable. Boy was I not disappointed.

From the start the story unravels at just the right pace with twists and turns being introduced along the way to conceal the truth behind it all.

Ultimately, the film presents a powerful question to society about the way we deal with children and people who abuse children - something that we were both discussing all the way home and long into the night.

Go see it!
