gold fish filter question! answer please!!!?

ok so i got 2 goldfish yesterday (yay!)
and they are ketp in a small tank (meaning small glass globe type thing)

and i was wondering do i need a filter? my mom wont let me get one, so i was wondering if its a must have thing.

also one of my fish probably has ammonia burns ( as i have learned from my last question)
 
Filter isn't needed but goldfish are very dirty fish just make sure you do proper cleaning weekly.
