So on Sunday night I am going to a friend of a friend's 18th party in a hall. No doubt there will be music, thing is.. i don't have a clue how to dance. Last time at a disco it was really awkward and I didn't know what I was doing and looked ridiculous, wanting it to end.

Any tips on how to dance? I'm male btw

what i done first time i went to a party, go around with some of the more confident dancers and just see what they do and copy. After a while i just started not taking notice of what everyone else thot and just do the moves the way i thot was most fun. The last party i went to , people started copying my moves ! Be condient and Just have fun!

the disco dancing is actually easy a as long as you don't feel self conscious. have a look at dancing videos for examples. many men simply shuffle feet around and with a shoulder movement and arm waves in time to music have no worries how they look .
I too used to be worried but simply can't care less now as long as I feel it to the music and i am happy withing myself.
you simply lack confidence. copy others by mimicking the style etc and choose best movements that you see. good luck and do try and relax and enjoy self.
