Going to buy a bh-800/1, how to spot a fake one....

So i'm interested in either the nokia bh-800 or bh-801 (the one that comes with the sirrocco)

Anyway how to spot a fake one?

Anyways, the point is I need to spot a fake one, so I don't end up buying it.
Any pointers, your help is appreciated.
 
I got mine from seller eluxshoppe. Guy is based in California.

The accessories and manual seemed real enough. The performance is poor and the range sucks. The answer button didnt work.

My dad loves it though.
 
Range sucks on my BH 800....could be the real deal then
...all jokes aside, my BH 800 is the most comfortable HS i've owned and believe me when I tell you i've tried everything!! My ears are frign sensitive so i've had to and this one is perfect for long talks and you can cram it in your pocket and forget about it when your done. That being said, if the 801 doesnt improve on the range issue and the snap crackle and pop i am going to be really disapointed. Bah@#*)#%$
 
The first link is totally fake...the headset doesnt look right and the packaging is similar to the original but not the original. I'm looking at my box right now and it looks totally different. And the accessories are off as well....should include a pouch, necklace, charger, metal earloop, manual, and headset. That's not an OEM by any means.
 
The X1387 is legit. He's the real deal and that's the real deal. Look at the 8800SE pix and the 801 headset comes with it. The alternative one is totally fake. Look at this package and tell me if you really have any doubts. It looks like a 5 yr old made it.
 
Look up pictures of the unit, box, accessories and compare it to anything you see listed up on Pbay. Also, if a price seems too good to be true then it probably is....unless the seller is from Nigeria
 
that is the craziest BH-801 i have ever seen, there are some that are immitation and yet better than that, it so difficult to tell the difference if you are holding it side by side with an original... mostly, only the packaging that will give it away...
 
Ok, I looked and it seems a few things are starting to become obvious:
1)lower than $65 is probably a fake.....saw many 20 dollar ones/
2)those coming from hong kong are the fake one...so look for one from UK,USA
3)Box is black or coffy color, make sure it has the faint squares painted on it, the fake one don't have the square painted on.
