it depend which restaurant you visit or chef that cook the curry, each have their own version, most restaurant will happily cook to your liking either milder or spicier, sure spicier than tso's chicken, anyway BON APPETIT CHEERSSS

i'm going to an indian restaurant on saturday, and i've never had indian food before.
i know it may be hard to compare two different cultures but:
is chicken curry spicier than general tso's chicken (a chinese dish)?
thanks!

Yes, definitely spicier, but in a different way. Indian spice tends to heat all of you up, as opposed to Chinese spice, which is more of a localized burning.

I also find that Indian spice tends to be smoother.

Indian cuisine is amongst the most flavour rich food in the world due to the abundance of herbs and spices in that part of the world. Chicken curry is very spicy which is not to be confused with being hot. Although Indian food is usually hot the restaurants tend to tone it down for Western customers.

I haven't had general tso's so I can't say but I'm certain the curry will be spicier. Whether it's hotter or not depends on the restaurant.
