Going hiking with crush, need ideas. (will choose best answer and award ten points!!)?

I'm going up to the mountains with a few friends, including my crush, and my mom. she'll probably just hang out while we all go and hike. I'm only taking 2 friends, plus my crush so its not going to be a huge group or anything. he doesnt know i like him yet; what are some cute things to do while we're hiking? you can include anything, suggestions, opinions, ideas, ANYTHING. please :) be specific
 
tell your friends you like him, if you havent, and then they should back off a bit and let you two hike together with them either in front or behind of you two
