Going hiking in two months, good work out..?

I'm going hiking in two months and I'm out of shape. I have been going to the gym for a couple of months but I'm not seeing much difference so i think I'm doing something wrong.

I'm 14 and a girl so I don't wan to build up any muscle or look masculine plus I want to look good for the summer. Can anyone suggest a workout, not too strict, that I can follow to help me prepare for the hike.....thank s =]
 
Run, or even walk, on the treadmill but put incline on it. When hiking, you're going to be going uphill so your legs need to get used to that.
 
go for long walks. walking is the best exercise for hiking, which is basically walking. if you have hills or stairs, go up and down them.
