Going from running to Biking as well?

Hi. I've been a pretty heavy runner for the past 2 years or so. I do about 3-8 miles 5 times a week. Recently, I've decided to get more seriously into road biking. I got an older road bike, and am in the process of fixing it up. However, upon going for a few ~10 miles rides at decent speed I don't seem to get the same amount of exercise. It feels as though I'm only getting a slight workout, as opposed to running. Any ideas/thoughts/tips?
