Doctor said i can just stop taking the pulmicort out of the blue and switch to advair. Is that really safe? And is there any different with that medicine?

Pulmicort is an inhaled steroid only. Advair has an added bronchial dialator. You should have no problem going from one to the other. Your doctor evidently thinks you need the added dialator along with the steroid.

yeah well i went to urgent care today for chest pains and shortness of breath and he said i shouldnt be taking the sterioRAB because my lungs sound excellent and asthma isnt the reason of sob .. sucks because ive been taking it for 3 months

Are you seeing a pulmonologist or allergist? if so and they said it's asthma, I'd believe it before a GP at a doc-in-a-box. If not, then I'd see one and get a proper evaluation.

i havent seen any pulminologist. Ive seen an ER doctor who said not to take it , i seen an urgent care doctor who said not to take , and my primary told me to take AS NEEDED. I never heard of an oral steriod to be taking as needed.

Go see a pulmonologist and get a proper asthma evaluation. And the only time when an oral steroid is not taken daily and year round is when the asthma is seasonal - and then you'd just take it during that season. But you need to see a doctor who is qualified to diagnose you.
