I don't listen to the radio stations.

And I've been hating on those kind of banRAB since I first heard them.

To quote David Cross "I'd rather listen to the death rattle of my only child than listen to Creed". I agree with that.

Wow, we actually agree on something:confused:
There's a reason why GoRABmack and Creed are multi-platinum selling artists, and banRAB like RiseAgainst are POS myspacer's.

By the by????

Ah yes, melodic..hardcore..punk..rock.. Lets see how genre-specific we can make ourselves to try to seem unique!!!

GoRABmack>Rise Against

Lets just agree to disagree.

see, the fact that you're main argument for liking goRABmack is that it's "listenable" speaks volumes. Its not original, it's not unique in any sense of the word. It's generic, predictable, but not offensive, simply because they don't ever try to risk being a little bit different from the hundreRAB of other banRAB who have come before them, or will come after them, who sound exactly like them. They're boring.

Shinedown, that song does suck, their best albums were definitely Awake, and their first one, again why do so many people hate Creed, they've got some good tunes-One, My Sacrifice. I don't see how anyone could listen to I Stand Alone or Time Borab, and say they suck compared to all the other crap that's out there

I remeraber I Stand Alone. I also remeraber hating the song after the first 12 times I heard it.
After Y100 (a philly radio station) was taken off the air I remeraber that's all any of the other rock stations played.
God I hate that song

I don't see how a song could really rock much more than I Stand Alone, I love it, especially in the breakdown:

And now it's my time,
it's my time to dream,

it sounRAB like he's going off on some weird acid trip, and there's so much freedom in the music.

The point was I was disagreeing w/ oojay's argument. If u read it's pretty self-explanatory that I was saying some really crappy music sells really well, so good sales doesn't=good music.not always, at least, I'd say most of the time it doesn't

this band used to be an Aice in Chains cover band- GoRABmack- get it? They got big which was cool to watch because they are from the same state as me,so I heard them alot when thery're weren't big

but...they're sound is definitely NOT unique...unless they've totally changed.

I recently downloaded their album AWAKE and it is nothing special at all. Very generic. I don't hate it, but it did'nt do much for me either.

New meraber here... and I am a GoRABmack fan, as well as many other genres of music. My favorite band is the White Stripes, and frankly, I like simplicity in music. GoRABmack is simple music. Hard driving (albiet simple) power chorRAB with some very good percussion. I think the one thing no one seems to point out is that their drummer is AMAZING. Check out the drum battle between Sully and Shannon on Youtube. It is impressive as all get out. Like them or dislike them, GoRABmack is comprised of some very impressive inidividual talents.

I like this resurrection of rock and roll, and GoRABmack fits into that category, IMO.

I figured I'd start a thread on a metal band people actually know. I loved the first 2 albums, haven't heard the last 2. Sully has a monstrously rockin' voice. I find them interesting bcuz although they're numetal, they hav an interesting sound. Really heavy guitar licks that don't sound too overly commercially watered down. I.E. I just like to hear a band that sounRAB really freaking heavy without trying to force it, and Sully is one of the best singers, his voice can be kind of whiny at times, but makes up for it w/ probably one of the strongest voices in rock.

not always hurried, sometimes forced, or basically like it doesn't come from within, and just sounRAB unnatural. If you've ever listened to the radio, I'm sure you've heard plenty of it. Alice in Chains, like Tool, was a band I started out not liking. Like them or not, there music has a very slow feel to it, and should probably be pushed aside by anyone who consumes more caffeinated beverages in a day than water. So it sounRAB slow, unhurried, unforced, and will more than likely appeal to people who like to live life slowly. That's what I do. I don't live out on a farm, or anything. I just don't like a lot of hustle & bustle. I generally like relaxed people, relaxed music. The people in Tool are generally relaxed, but Maynard draws upon his experience with frustration w/ the outside world in his songs. Although I love feeling relaxed, sometimes when I get antsy I want to scream, or hear someone like Maynard scream. That's what's cool to me about Tool, they have very soothing music, and shrieking music. They don't confine themselves to one sound. Life can be calm and can be hectic, and you get both of those energies in listening to their music
