Goddamnit, not now!

Someone mentioned a wrist brace - they also sell one that goes just below the elbow. One or the other might help while you're waiting to see what the doc/nurse says.

Lee, I also thought it was a blood flow thing, until I started shaking my hand to wake it up and it stopped waking up even temporarily. Just tried the warm water thing, and the only thing it succeeded in doing was making me have to go to the bathroom. I continued to think it was a blood flow thing until I flexed my hand backwards and a pain shot up my arm, right up the center, and I felt the nerve "jump." I'm not the kind of person who will go to a doctor for any little thing. I'm the exact opposite because I don't trust doctors, but even I have to admit that something is seriously wrong.

Tostig, damnit, I do sleep with my arm beneath my pillow under my head when I sleep on my side. I have to because I don't have a second pillow.

Aw shit, I'm sorry. Don't worry. I'll be fine. Promise. As for an ace bandage, um, I think I might have gotten rid of mine since I lost the clips. Oops.

they should have one in the first aid kit they're required to have in the dorm. might have to ask an RA for it if there isn't one in the kit.

but i'm still going to worry and you can't stop me

My dad has carpal tunnel. In fact, he gave me his brand new motorcycle because he couldn't ride it anymore. He couldn't grasp the handlebars for long periods of time anymore. I think he went for the electro-shock therapy. Not sure if they do that anymore.. but still, it was kind of freaky.

But anyway. Umm, gl with the doctor visit. Whenever you go..

Shit dude...I hope everything works out well for you. Carpal Tunnel is some serious business...not to make you worry or anything.

I know of another condition that causes numbness of the right hand...it has to deal with the heart and one of its valves not functioning correctly. But since you mentioned no chest pain...I've got nothing else to assume and I'm not a doctor ;)

But still, I hope everything works out well for you man. You've got all the WTFers behind you...so if your hand is cramping up like a mug, your staff of writers is waiting on call, eh? haha

take it easy man.

You know Tiger, could be worse. The last thing you should do is diagnose yourself.

See the Doctor and let him tell you what he thinks it is. Tingling in a hand could be carpel tunnel, it could be a LOT of other things. Some are better, some are worse.

So go see the MD and let us know what he says. :D
