God of War 2 Question...i know the game's old?

Im in the temple thing on God of War 2 and i cant figure out how to pass the gate with two spots that get the gate open...like they give u the dead dude to put, how do i get him on the far away one...if u know what im talkin about please help, i really wanna beat this game lol
