Alright CopyLifted, I concede, when you said there was a reason they sold me a $10,000 car for six grand, you were right.
Two days ago, I was driving on the LIE and my check engine light came on. I got home, Eric whipped out his OBDII reader and got error code P1191 - ETS (Electronic Throttle System) Limp Home Mode ON.
Makes sense, I lost 50% of my power. Now, the light is off.
The engine has always idled so rough I could feel it in the steering wheel, and around 2,000 RPM it's like I got obese people fucking in my engine bay.
After heavy revving I always get this weird whine from my engine bay.
There is lots of wind rushing around the driver side door at 50+ MPH.
There is also a blown right tweeter.
And I'm positive that the front left brake rotor was warped when I got the car - It's intolerable now.
Thank God all this shit is covered under my extended warranty, except for the tweeter.
What really scares me is that the transmission fluid is grey. Not blood red, not reddish gray, but grey. If there is one thing I know about the Hyundai XG350L, it needs clean trans fluid more than anything else and it gets dirty very quickly. Not doing so will cause your trans to take a shit below 100K miles.
The previous owner did NOTHING to maintain this car, I bet. I am going to buy authentic Hyundai transmission fluid and some Pennzoil Full Synthetic and have Eric change my fluids.
I truly love my car but I'm pissed they sold me something they knew had issues. She only has 66,996 miles on her - When I bought her she had 64,012.
She's going in Monday. With all this bullshit I bet I'll be rocking Mommy's Outback for a week :thumbsdn:.
