Factor in whatever you'd like, music (being starkly diffrent from say folk) titles, overall statement being made, whatever, I've just always wondered what put the nail in the coffin first, deep, and with the least amount of mercy.

(and if your going to say SP was about image, i'd like to argue preemptivly that regardless of reality of fiction, it still sent a message)
 
Alright well why, becuase at first glance it doesn't at all. I can think of more things that tie Iggy to hippies then I can Frank or any of the pistols.
 
Dude...what is your problem with hippies..why dont you do a post about hating people that actually make **** ***...like terrorists or Murderers, or just a nice plain and simple *** like yourself
 
Because that is what his thread is about moron. If he wants to discuss what album took it to the hippies then he can. At least he's more productive than you. When was the last time you made a decent thread about musical history? You haven't.
 
anybody see the south park episode with the hippie music festival. I thought it brought out perfectly that you dissafected tree huggers are more interested in smoking pot and moaning about the machine then actually bothering to do anything about it
 
I don't think any band in particular ended the Hippie movement.
More the fact that they themselves moved on and got themselves a life.

If I was forced for an answer then I'd say Heavy Metal in general.
 
hippies are awesome, although their choice in music is quite bad, theyre lovely ppl who like to have a good time, be it pot or group sex lol
