Go Pro Mounting

Hi guys...

I just got a go pro HD and was wondering where best to mount it. Pictures would be nice .

I'm also a bit skeptical of the cup suction working at high speeds.

Thanks in advance!

i don't have pictures, but a friend of mine rides with his all the time. he mounts it basically anywhere where there is a flat and clean surface.

he is on a honda though... they don't shake as much as a ducati.

Don't worry about the suction cup, that thing is ROCK solid. I've mounted it on the top and sides of the fairing and you couldn't budge it.

Just make sure that the inside of the suction cup is slightly wet for the best vacuum seal.

That the only reason I want the GoPro, it has endless mounting options and positions.

I also looking at the Tachyon CX Micro, it's cheap, simple, and get the job done!

Mine is mounted to the nose fairing. I used the mounting hardware that came with the camera. It works fine. The only issue I had is the plastic mounting pieces. The pieces have thumbscrews to tighten the mounting hardware. But tightening them by hand doesn't leave the camera mounting pieces tight enough to withstand the vibration of track riding. In order to tighten the thumbscrews sufficiently to withstand track vibration, you have to tighten the thumbscrews with pliers. And since the thumbscrews, (as well as the pieces they thread through), are made of plastic, this requires a soft touch. Tighten the mounting hardware with pliers, but not too much!
