Gnubox for N73

Hi guys. Bit of a n00b at this, but have got Gnubox/mRouter running so can access the internet on my N73 through Bluetooth.

Now... why can't I use the same access point to connect up to use streaming media etc? Would love to use that Nokia Shoutcast app or the built in realplayer, but cannot connect.

The ultimate dream for me is listening to internet radio through the phone... Guess I should have got a WIFI handset :(

Is this kind of thing possible, or is there some restriction thing here that means the connection can only handle http port 80 traffic etc.?!!

hey guys, when i try to connect to my n73 with m-router it give a error code 800402000. it says the m-router service could not be found on the device or bluetooth may be disable..

thnz if u can help

To the previous poster please go to post 88 and tell me where you see which particular sdk specified, clearly you need different sdks for different systems, what i need to know is whether I need the sdk for FP1 or 3rd edition standard, post 88 doesn't resolve this query, nor do your posts. Do you know which one needs to be installed?

First big thank you to multivac. :clapping:
I successfully install .sis to my N73

btw using is not yet. mrouter dont recoginize toshiba bt stack gagagaga

Right click on the mRouter icon, got to bluetooth settings...
search for your fone....once it's there, UNCHECK the box where it says "Automatically connect to this device when it is in range"

Then on ur movile phone, launch gnubox,go to "Options"->"Debug"->"Test comm channel".......this will take a few secs...
within this time, see whether the mRouter icon turns blue...??

Hi

You would not normally need to use the 'Bring up IF' option. This option is normally used for phones such as 6630, 6680 or 6681 which do not have a means to select the interface to use. The way I use gnubox is create a bookmark that is set to uses the 'Bt' access point. This way when you select the bookmark the Bt interface comes up correctly. Having said this, however I have just tried bring up the interface using the 'Bring up IF' option and it appears to work ok. I am using 'LAN access server' to a linux box.

I have set up the Bt access point using the 'Basic setup instructions on Nokia for v1.1 beta'' found at http://gnubox.dnsalias.org/gnubox/

post 88 does... when i clicked that link it was for fp1 3rd edition 355mb or so... i downloaded it and worked....

try it and see if it works??? Do i have to go to your house and do this for your or something??? come on now!!

thats all i can help... good luck hope u get it to work... LOL

about the problem on disconnection after a few seconds, here's wat 'Just A Traveller' has to say here http://crazylittleworld.com/2006/03/making-the-most-out-of-nokia-n70-part-2/

i don't have any other Bt application on my pc, apart from a bluetooth headset that i use with it, could that be interfering??

has anyone here got it to work on vista?? using either widcomm or the MS stack?
if so, would they please be kind enough to share the information with the rest of us. :)

Cant get past the gnubox modem "not found" line. When I choose BT serial it says it is all ready in use.

edit: got it working. but the browser says, can not connect.
Probably a error from the computer part? Use widcomm driver and analogX and mrouter 3.1. CLosed my firewall etc.

Also get a error -1 on bringing up IF in debug.

Using a 6120 classic.

this sounds all too exciting. i cannot wait to give it a try when i receive my nokia phone. what i am more enamored by is mainly the fact that everyone is willing to share and further perpetuate software! :clapping:

Nokia S60 Radiao and Shoutcast on the phone is working for me with Gnubox, once the connection is up. There is no reason it shouldn't, if you can access the net through the Nokia browser the radio app will work, just keep on trying, it fails to connect sometimes.
