GM sent me a 2500 dollar check to buy a Pontiac G6 car, should I buy it? is it any good?

That won't buy the car, but will make a good down payment. Or better yet, put it in a savings account for when the car falls apart after 30,000 miles.

There is a reason why GM discontinued the Pontiac brand.

I drove a G6 once as part of a rental. It had lots of pick up off the line, but torque streered really badly and had a really cheap interior.

I would wait until Government Motors has to sell off all its current inventory at half price, they will probably throw one of those G6's in for free.

it's an American car, take your chances if you must. Personally I buy foreign, other than my hummer...Which is now foreign.
And I don't just mean Asian foreign. You can have better luck with something German if you are budget conscience, or British if you like to splurge.
