Gm 3800 series 2 engine?

My car was tapping at idle and when im driving it quit.. i took off my valve cover and i discovered that my rocker arm bolt was tight but it felt wiggly. what could it be?? my push rod is not bent... could it be a lifter??
 
The rocker was in a neutrel postion, not on a intake or exhaust strock but just at idle. they all do that at a certain cycle in the motor
 
yes, the hydraulic lifter could be shot. if you can wiggle the rocker arm and there is back and forth slop, then the rocker arm has a hole, or the liffer is not pumping up. thats a big job on that motor. you have to take the intake manifold off to get at that.

why dont you run some Seafoam in the motor, to see if that can help
