glucose tlerence test this week but what will they do?

i heard i have to not drink/eat then drink a sweet drink from them and sit around for 2 hours then they test me again but my pregnancy is making me need to eat first thing in the morning or i cannot stop wrenching to be sick so how am o meant to do this? please.

reason for test is im overweight they say
 
In Australia every woman gets this test at around 28 weeks to test for gestational diabetes. (which can affect women of any size) I ate and drank as normal all day and went in the afternoon. Drank approx 200mls of green super sweet liquid, after a 1 hour wait they take your blood and that's it. Usually they will tell you if you need an empty stomach. Maybe to be on the safe side ring and ask.
