And yet, many, many scientists have put the evidence out that the basis on which Gore and Company operate is a...

MYTH.

CO2 is not the pollutant that Congress would like you to believe--they just HOPE you will so they can tax you on it.
 
wondering some things here? For the past 2 yrs the grass has not gone brown in winter here

It has stayed green because the weather has been warm enough and the snow non existent enough -- that it no longer turns brown

Since climate change is a myth --- how would you explain that s?

The Canadian Geese --- who used to be a migratory bird -- are no longer seen flying in V formations practicing their flights south A lot of them just live here year round now

But that whole global warming thing is a lie told by Gore --- So why have migratory birds stopped flying south ? They just don't like the Americans ?

Squirrels that used to have 2 generations maybe 3 are up to 5 now and going strong -- It is no where near cold enough for them to stop having babies


But then global warming is a lie -- a hoax and a myth --- are all these squirrel babies the product of dangerous liberal teaching infiltrating the squirrel mindset? Must be --

The North west passage opened up last year -- for the first time in recorded history the seas in the far North were passable by sea -- More liberals no doubt

The frost in the ground ? Nope I could put my boot prints in the mud all last year and the past few years where before the ground would be as hard as a rock ---- some years the frost went deeper than 4 foot -- Now that is unheard of

I was very careful NOT to say what might have caused it

But ---- clearly --- it is changing -- and around here --- warmer winters appear to be the norm now

We will have to wait to see what it does this year
 
Climate changes from nearly tropical to mostly ice in a natural cycle. The hoax is that it is suddenly man made. Climate change has been happening for longer than humans have existed.
 
So you know want me to believe in global warming ...because you post some half azzed observations of which you have no data to support other than you say them...are you Al Gore on YA .....come on Al do you not have better things to do ..is Tipper tired again....
 
Here in Texas, we had an unusually cool spring. It snowed very late in the season and I had to keep my long sleeve shirts out for quite a while. I enjoyed it but it was odd.

Weather does that sometimes. In 1988 (or 1987?) Texas was having an incredible heat wave. The likes that haven't been repeated since.

And I have been seeing what I beleive are Canadian geese flying overhead for quite a few days now.

The globe has been warming. The question is whether, and to what extent, are fossel fuels to blame?
And Al Gore's move had many massive exaggerations. Like a measurement as to how fast the water was going to rise. He confused feet with inches. So he took the high estimate from the scientests and multiplied it by 12!
Actually, there is even a question as to whether the warming trend is reversing itself.

But this is not an excuse to abuse our planet.

But I am also skeptical of the leaders of the environmental movement. Those squirrelly light bulbs will be polluting our landfills with mercury.
It takes more than a gallon of gas to produce one gallon of ethonal. And that has taken corn off the market. World starvation has actually increased due to the government subsidizing a stupid, ineffecient attempt at a renuable energy source.
And cap and trade will drive more manufacterers overseas where there are NO regulations. So widgets that could have been produces in moderatly regulated plants here will be produces in unregulated plants in China or Mexico.

I could really get behind the environmental movement if it wasn't for the mess the polticians and the big corporations have made of the movement!
 
The earth's climate has been in a constant cycle of change. This earth was once in an ice age and correct me if I am wrong, but hasn't it warmed up since then?
 
it's not a hoax, but you already know this. Sadly, most still don't believe in science and climate records. At any rate, the climate change issue will not heat up (no pun intended) until the health care issue is resolved, but after that, idiot cynics and naysayers, not to mention some politicians, will be demeaning pro-environmentalists as being wackos. Mark my words, big oil will do to climate legislation what big insurance is doing to health care: pour millions into lies and propaganda and trying to discredit anyone who believes climate change is real. These detractors will follow the same playbook for the climate issue as they are doing with the health care issue.
 
Gore is a political bum who makes money by spouting what hard working scientists find, (had to get that out ot the way)

The debate isn't whether the earth is warming or not, but if it is man made, that being the case, NASA has also discovered that mars is heating up as well, though this isn't proof against humans contributing, it does show that we are encountering a sun spot.

Plus most models are not able to apply all variables without making it too complex or unpredictable (otherwise useless), also it isn't even agreed upon what effects certain variables have. Would an increase in clouds (due to warming of the oceans) warm or cool the earth? There is disagreement on this, a basic yet major variable.

Thus I say, let the scientists do their stuff, and let the politicians handle the government.

Also take into consideration that we have experienced a global cooling from 1930 to 1980. There are different theories on that as well.
 
Earth's climate is in a state of constant change. Human activity is not required to explain it. Half a degree rise in global temperature over the last century can just as easily be explained as natural climate change. There is still no direct evidencde linking human activity to climate change. For now it's still a hypothesis. The rise in CO2 levels cannot be attributed to human activity since humans cause 3.7% of atmosphereic CO2 at most, according to U.N. sources. And CO2 is only a very mild greenhouse gas. There have been incidents of climate scientists actually faking data to support global warming, which makes me a bit leary of it.
