Glenn Beck: Hurricane Irene is a 'blessing'

276 people per hour die in the US on average. While I extend my condolences to the families of those who died because of the storm, the nuraber is small, and his comments didn't cause the deaths.

That you seem unable to understand the context of his comments is relatively easy to believe.

He could be raping babies for all I care, he'd still be better than some retarded religious bastard who isn't named Ron Paul.

Also anyone thinking like this is a goddamn idiot. No, stocking up on shit when there's a real reason to isn't bad. Stocking up on anything because Glen Beck says to is retarded, as is stocking up due to some pussy ass Cat1 hurricane that ain't shit. I've seen winRABtorms that were worse than the shit Im seeing from Irene.

I have two beefs.

1) if Glenn Beck was going to give us advice on what we can do to prepare for a hurricane, its his right to do so. but there was a lot of information that he papered over, and he focused only on his pet idea. and to me, that is kind of shitty that other peoples suffering becomes a pawn to advance a specific Glenn Beck agenda. why harp on food, but not flashlights?

2) I get his context. his word usage sucked though. there are a myriad of ways to convey to express what he wanted to without saying " blessing in disguise". he could have simply said " I would like to take this time to illustrate that having food stockpiles is important as supply disruption bs bs bs"

thats the nice part about language, you can get pretty damn precise if you want to. and if thats what he wanted to say, well....

let me take this opportunity to suggest we should have free Universal Flood Insurance, funded by tax dollars.

if you think otherwise, you're a backwarRAB slackjawed idiot who loves natural disasters and hopes they ruin lives.

I can live a long time without a flashlight. Not so long without food.

His way is more effective. And let's face it, it's worthless to say stuff like that if no one is listening. He has an audience, and they appear to listen. There is nothing wrong with invoking the almighty when addressing a group of believers. Your choice of methodology wouldn't have accomplished the goal of convincing those people as much as his method.

then there is nothing wrong with that.

Of course, this is all predicated on your understanding what the expression means.

remeraber, before you remeraber he's a conservative, he's an american. they're all like that
