GLBT: Do you like poetry slams?

Can you perform slam poetry/spoken word? I find it to be an art. It's really amazing to listen to sometimes and see just how powerful words can be.

I went to a poetry slam last night and it was amazing. We had a group there called Neo Soul that was ranked the 2nd place slam poetry group in the nation, and our host was the first female slam poetry champion. It was awesome. :-)

If you do this, could you teach me some techniques? I'm trying to improve my poems.
 
Omg You guys also had one! thats sooooo cool cause the school I was in it had Poetry Slams like that and u would read them in front of the school!
Well you should read other people's poems and kinda learn from them but not copy them! Try not in ur poem not use words like "it's,I'm" or stuff like that in poems some of them spefic is always good! Good humor is also a winning thing!
