depends on what other work was done. sound wise running straight from the cats using no muffler at all would sound healthy. cats restrict a lot of exhaust and I have done this myself on my cobra 2 mustang years ago. it rumbled but was acceptable to me. the cats muffle as much as glass pack would easilly.smog may in question but if routed as original I doubt it would.
