Glad I was paying attention

I had read several posts about the Suzuki oem passenger floorboards and the rubber coming off after only a short time after installation. Had I not gotten such a good deal on them I probably would have picked another brand.

But I bought them fairly cheap and monitored them. After only a couple of weeks, and 1 ride where they were actually being used, sure enough, the rubber started peeling off...One ride to work and I would have lost one side for sure.

So I got some 3m weatherstrip adhesive and glued those suckers back on..

I found these on ebay for 180 and they were still sealed in the box. Normally I think they were about 250-280 range. They work great and my wife is really comfortable with them. If I could afford a different brand, I would, these are notorius for having the adhesive dry up and the rubber falling off while riding. I just made a note of it and paid attention.

Mine started to peel as well, so I peeled them off and reattached them with double-stick tape (the thick type). They haven't moved since. I like the looks of the OEM floorboards, and my wife likes them much better than the pegs.

Yeah my left passenger floorboard came off half way as well. I'd also be interested to see how this 3M Weatherstripping works out.

I'm considering an upgrade to the C109RT sometime in the next few months and am not sure if the floorboards will mate up with the new bike. One would think that they would but if they don't then before I ditch the 50 I'd probably sell my passenger floorboards cheap to someone if they're interested. Otherwise they'll just stay with the bike and make the next person happy.
