Gizmodo's Long-*** Nokia N95 Review: Why it Rocks, Why it Sucks

This is about the only truest comment made on this phone...

Too bad we had to actually wait for production models to find out it's essentially another hyped and useless device from Nokia

Way to go Nokia btw, it's free with some carriers in Europe...

Useless? No.

Over-hyped? Yes.

They only echoed what many around hofo have been saying: the phone is too large, too light, and feels too much like cheap plastic -

They do make some very good non-biased points. I think I've becomes accustomed to expensive phones now... the N93's and WM5 devices I've all owned and are all above $700 when first launched.

I think yes it is over hyped, but if you compare to other smartphones with similar capabilities, it's not over price IMO.

that review was pretty bunk. don't agree with anything except for the price rant. nokia's phones are too expensive! for us poo' folk

For the most part the OS is quick.

There are some issues with the browser. It is a little slow on web page loading, but after it is loaded there are no speed issues. Sometimes the gallery menu can be slow, but for the most part the phone is very quick and navigating is almost an instant thing. I compared it to the 6230 because for the most part it is just as fast as it is. Of course, the N95 has a faster processor, but more to do.

I don't like this review either. I like my N95.

Wow, WIth all the good, I think the bad reall,y outways it. Especially the price and the sluggish OS. Screw this phone. E70 for LIFE, lol
