Giving Up

I love food. I love food network. And I especially love cooking. But I'm giving it up.

As some of you know, I had to cut gluten out of my diet for health reasons. That has made cooking food that I can eat something of a nightmare. I'll get products to try and make them according to the directions, but they just taste disgusting. I made spaghetti tonight and the inside of the noodle was hard while the outside was slimy. Most of the time I choke it down, but I just threw this out. It's not worth it. So, I'm giving up. I'll just eat plain foods like meat, potatoes, carrots... The only good part of this is that in a month I've lost 20 pounds. Probably because all I eat is potatoes and fruit. :banghead:

Yeah, sometimes it can be a pain. I've gone days where I've eaten nothing but hummus and flatbread. Not bad, but you can get kinda gassy.

I have a subscription to 3 different recipe magazines, one of which is a healthy one with a lot of gluten free meals that I've made just based on the idea that they would taste good in general. Would you be interested in them?

Sorry for the late response, I was looking for the thread but I always click "new threads" and apparently there are like 39847239847239 more posts than originally intended.

This Website has a plethora of gluten-free recipes that I didn't even realize were Gluten Free until I saw it at the top. I haven't been disappointed with a single recipe she has to offer. I'll go through my cookbooks this weekend while I'm working and compile another set of recipes for you.
