Give me a reason for Hawaii....

boy you just a bundle of joy i lived in san francisco and can tell you there are way more bums and crackheads there than here, and they are also more aggressive when it comes to harassing you for money.

talk about hot, have you been to arizona? now that is hot. i agree it can get a bit muggy here but all in all the weather is great all year round.
 
The bums and crackheads are far worse in the LA area than here in SF. Then again, in LA some of the bums and crackheads sell produce on the sides of the road - LMFAO.
 
Maybe you can work a deal to get posted to Fort Riley. Now that's a sweet and happenin place. And the roads? My God, utter superbike heaven. Yeah, I'd take the middle of bumfuck Kansas over Hawaii any day.
 
I was born and raised in the caribbean so the climate and the beach scene are all too familiar to me. Pot holes are my expertise, I can spot them from miles away. Bums and people alike are my second expertise.(There are too many of them back home). But none of that is what I'm worried about. What concerns me is the job market, relocation of family again, by the time I get there I will have less than 2 1/2 years to retire, my daughter is in high school already and so on.
We'll see what happens. Prepare for the worst and hope for the best.

I would say do not come here. I left the country for 13 years living in Europe and Japan. I just came back for retirement and you know after one year being here, it sucks. I am looking at a home in Washington and I am out in a few months. If you are in my age range ( 30 to 35 ) you will not like it here. Nothing to do and the ignorance level is unbelievable. I would advise you not to come.
 
Only If I could I'll go to Germany. But even as much as I love Germany (and I miss that place so much) I would not do it right now. Family is stable at the moment so another move in such s short time may not be wise. Three moves in four years is a bit much and that is exactly what I'm avoiding.
