Give me a logical reason why minorities should recieve extra benefits?

READ THIS or don't bother answering.My parents are poor immigrants from Ireland. My dad came here with absolutely f*ck all. Not even a suitcase. He came here with one pair of clothes on and the will to work.Guess what? He now owns a $700,000 in a wealthy suburb of Los Angeles. My question is... Why should minorities (particularly Hispanics) gain extra privileges from the governemnt, especially in the education field? My parents are no different than them. He immigrated here, worked his @ss off, and now can support a family of 6 no problem. If my dad can do it gaining no assistance from anyone why can't Hispanic Americans? And please don't tell me you don't receive special rights. Every college application I've used for college had a special, independent question asking, "Are you Hispanic or Latino?" and that's just the beginning of it?What makes their situation different than mine? By the way, I grew up partially in Ireland.And don't say it's because my dad is white. He's what they call "black Irish." People often go up to him and start speaking spanish to him. PLEASE NOTE: I'm not being racist. I'm trying to inform myself. There is no logical reason. I agree that minorities should not receive extra benefits. What happens when white people become the minority? Should we then take their benefits and make them our own? Good question there.
 
Your question is racist and you need to learn a lot. Your question is also contradictory, you mentioned in the beginning your father owns a $700,000 something, then at the end you mentioned you brother has to work at McDonald's because your parents can't afford to pay for his college.Minorities will not be a minority for too long and I'm sure they pay their taxes and deserve the right to be educated and treated by the expense of the state.
 
Why is it that most white families that work their asses off can't come anywhere close to getting a $700,000 home?My parents work their asses off and we can barely afford our $200,000 house.America sucks.
 
Why do you assume we get benefits? I don't know any of my relatives that get benefits! My parents came here POOR and had NOTHING, they worked themselves up from a business and are successful. Nothing was handed out to them, they worked hard 7 days a week.Plenty of people I know have it hard of all races and receive benefits...not because they are MINORITY. It just happens to be a lot of minorities don't have as much as money as the white people (large percentage of them compared to us) so it looks like we get hand outs.There are scholarships for people of every kind including eye colors, it's weird. This girl got one for having green eyes lol. And colleges ask that because they would like diversity also. Plenty of universities and colleges have a large number of whites, it's great to see diversity in my opinion to learn more about others.
