I have given signs that I have liked a female coworker like happily surprising her with Valentine's this past February that made her blush.
She accepted them-a Beatles lunchbox, a heart shaped chocolate lollipop and truffles.
She told me how good those truffles were.
She laughed when I told her it was either a Beatles lunchbox or something Paramore related.
I have told her that's beautiful (she giggled when I called her that) and another time, I have told her that she makes me my heart dropped.
I don't know if she is really single now but she was then this past February when I gave her Valentine's as she asked a coworker that night, "Aren't people suppose to love each other year round?"
She's the ONLY coworker I've ever fallen for on a job.
I've never flirted with her but I have tried to make small talk with her at times even asking things about her.
However, she's never flirted with me or tried to engage me in a conversation.
She has upset me twice when a former coworker badmouthed me to her and she didn't defend me.
The next time she upset me was a couple weeks ago when she said some guy was hot when I was helping out a coworker who we mutually get along with.
She would only really say, "Hey" to me and nothing else or she would just pass me at times without even saying, "Hey.
I have heard her go, "Hmmm" to me a few times.
I apologized once for ignoring her when I was in a bad mood and she told me that she didn't take it personally.
We have walked by each other at times the last few nights even making eye contact with each other.
I passed by her yesterday at work and she briefly looked at me.
She's not really shy as she even takes smoke breaks with one of our assistant female managers.
Other females at my job that like me platonic wise and a few that have even flirted with me, they have said, "Hi" before I said" Hi" to them and they have initiated conversations with me and tell me things about them. I can joke with some of them. Not with her.
I'm trying not to feel awkward anymore when seeing her because I do want to move on since she doesn't care that I liked her.
