sports can delay your period but they don't always. I've been playing softball my whole life(13 years to be exact) and i just finally had to stop playing last year. my period has never been normal. i got it sometimes in the off season or when i was being more lazy compared to my usual athleticism but i didnt really get it much but when i couldnt play or something for a while because of injuries or off season then i got it sometimes. now that im not playing anymore its starting to come a lot more and kind of become regular. you shouldnt worry about the same thing happened to me. just keep doing what your doing. theres really no one that can tell you if you being a gymnast is going to delay your period or not because for some it will and some it wont. everybody's body is different and will do its own thing.

Its possible. Any strenuous exercise can interfere with your menstrual cycle some. Long distance runners are known to skip periods off and on. You may be starting your menstrual period if your having some discharge, cramps in the lower abdomen and lower back are sign too.
Hang in there, time will tell.
