Girlfriend leaving me???? Joining the army?

Ok so lately i've been thinking of joining the army and i decided i'm going to do it. i told my girlfriend and at first she said she would stick with me through it but now we talked about it n she said if i joined the army she would leave. she is the only girl i've ever actually felt something with and i don't want to lose her but i also feel like the army is my calling and something that i wanna do. Tips and advice as to what to do would be really nice. Should i not join the army or should i join? i really don't wanna lose this girl. thanks
