Ok how good is this film?

Watched it last night for the first time on Film four. and was blown away. For starters Angelina Jolie was unbelievably realistic as a sociopath. Such a great performance; and well worthy of the oscar she got.

Brittany Murphy; blew me away aswell; there were times when she stared into space especially during the "Lisa (Jolie)" rant where it was soo chilling. And her character was truly upsetting :eek:

Overall great movie!

What are people's view?
 
That ice cream outing scene is great.

I liked the film, and the bit I always remember is the scene where Angelina Jolie's character is ranting at Britany Murphy's character. The performances from those two actresses were outstanding, and Britany Murphy's character was really sad.
 
Excellent film

Angelina Jolie was excellent and deserved her oscar nod but not the win, Choe Sevigny should have won for Boys Dont Cry

The best performances in the film came from Winona Ryder who should have got an oscar nomination
 
Angelina Jolie won Best Supporting Actress at the Oscars for this - still IMO her best work.

Winona Ryder deserved a nomination too.
 
I didn't rate Angelina at all, to me it looked like it came naturally to act like a psycho.

Winnona and Brittany were by far better, funny now since neither of these two have careers when this film shows they should.
 
This is one of my favourite films. Brilliant acting by all the cast. Best performance Angelina has given. But I remember on the special features part of the dvd, one of the people who worked on the film said winona and angelina are quite like the characters they played!
