GIMP: How to make canvas smaller w/o shrinking the image?

I've been using GIMP for three years. xD
Well, open a new file, go to advanced options, and click Background:Transparency.
Then, open the image as a 'New Layer'.

I'm currently making an animated icon in Gimp, but the original gif I used was the wrong dimentions, so I cropped it but now I have all this extra canvas space that I want to fit the icon. I can't copy/paste because this is multiple layers with animation speed already set and it will take way too long.
