I'm looking into getting the g-Smart i (not the i128)..one of the cheapest wm5 with wifi phones that i've found on cti...what do you guys think about this phone? like how would i go about typing stuff, is there a touchscreen keyboard on it? I cant decide if i want to buy it or not. What should i do...and if you have any alternatives up to around $400, then please tell me. thanks.
 
There is a touch screen keyboard on it, but due to the small screen size it is cumbersome at best.

I would reccomend the HTC Wizard/imate kjam/8125 . . . all different names all same phone.

It has a sliding qwerty keyboard.

I got mine off ebay for under $300

. . . and I love it.
 
ok cool. yeah thats definitely a good option. i'll look into the htc wizard.

k, a couple questions...

does the gigabyte g-smart i actually have 256k color res or 65k? i read some reviews and they all conflict...

and secondly, i got offered a palm 750 for $395...is that a good price? I know treos are pretty good phones...but in comparison to phones like the mda and the gigabyte, how would it rank?
 
if you like the i128 try maybe i120 or the i300 look at the i300 for the higher specs, the only thing ppl might not like is the lack of edge or 3g, but it has gps and wifi so it doesnt bother me, i dont like to browse on the pocketPC much anyway gprs is ok for mobile websites IMO
