Will watch most of this behind a cushion when they are cutting up..but interesting as there is not a lot know about the giant squid

Where is the shell on squid? or octupus?

I have cooked squid in a lovely tomato and garlic sauce - but these need to be cooked for a long , slow cooking time. (My recipe!!). Result - good. :)

I love factual programs like this and I've seen a few of this series where they disect an animal, I certainly wouldn't like to be caught by one of those creatures, getting eaten slowly, bit by bit. I remember the program about the Humbolt squid where the diver had to wear chain mail armour to go down and observe them because all the suckers have razor sharp teeth.

And yet, the octopus was very gentle, !

This was fascinating. The shots of the fish changing the colour of its skin & the octopus shapeshifting & camouflaging against the plant was amazing. Found a clip of it on youtube.

Seeing the smaller squid using its tentacles to catch its prey in slow motion & the colossal squid were equally mindblowing.

I would have been very interested in an Attenborough-style show about this creature (alive!) - but I'm squeamish and can't watch the cutting up of anything that was once alive.

I recorded this on Channel 4 +1 at 10 p.m., then went to bed and when I came downstairs at 5 A.M. it was still recording. When I looked at my Planner, it said "455 minutes" ??
WTF ?
