Giant black mark on my thigh?

Hey i'm a 18 year old guy and just now I noticed a pretty large black stain on my thigh. It's a lot more black than a bruise it looks like somebody took sharpy and colored a really iregular shape pitch black over my thigh or like really dark ink blew up over me. Nothing of the sort happened and I just washed over it to make sure I didn't somehow get ink on myself..

It is the weirdest sight and I don't really know what it is..
 
It's probably a bruise you remember getting. You might have bumped into something without realizing it. That happens to me a lot. Give it a couple of days to see if it fades, it should. Also keep an eye on it for any swelling or redness around the area. I think you will be fine. Linda
 
I assume you have tried to wash it off (just in case it really IS Sharpie or some other kind of ink)?

Are there any other symptoms at all? If it doesn't clear up in a few days you might want to consider seeing a healthcare provider.
