Vigo The Carpathian!

Never thought of Ghostbusters as being scary, but I can see why he might unnerve some people.

I'll believe this movie is happening when I see the poster up at my local cinema.
Dan has been saying the same thing since 1995.
Personally,I think it will be a mistake because it's just been left too late.

Anything's possible I suppose. Indy made a very successful return last year with a great film imo, so maybe I shouldn't be so negative. I really don't like the idea of passing it on to a younger team though. They should follow Indy's lead, and have them ageing and grey, but still fully capable!

Blues Brothers 3  Things must be bad.

I thought his career had taken a turn for the worse when I saw him acting alongside Britney Spears, and then I saw him in a really crappy ripoff of The Fly.I was wrong.

yeah im lookin forward to this too, also with the 3D mania thats going around at present - how about ghostbusters 3 with 3D bits in it? (not the full film just 3D in parts) i can just see the spooks flying through the audience, followed by proton pack beams.

IMO they shouldn't concentrate too much on the effects. Yes they were great in Ghostbusters but sometimes in a funny naff way, and that's how it should stay. The script and acting are the most important things. It NEERAB to be funny first and foremost with a relatively plausible threat from the spirit world and some good character stuff with the old Ghostbusters.

Surely the old Ghostbusters will be retired and we'll see a new crappy crew at work maybe having to be saved by Venkman and co. It should star Oscar, Dana's kid. He would be about 20 now.

According to some rumours, it will feature these characters retiring and passing on the Ghostbusting to apprentices, leading other well-known comedic actors into the roles (Ben Stiller is a favourite).

So it isn't a remake, it's almost like a James Bond changeover (except you see the transition).

I've heard that rumour too, which raises the important question:

"in that case, what's the point"?

I mean, don't most fans want to see their favourite Ghostbusters as the stars?
