There doesnt seem to be thread for this movie??

I went to see this despite the fact that Im NOT a Ricky Gervais fan, but I was intrigued by the good reviews...

It is VERY similar to sixth sense (but with the Gervais humour) . I have to admit that this was a very good film, funny and touching. (I slightly resent that Gervais, who Im not particularly a fan of made me cry TWICE in this flippin film!!)

... my only negative though is that I dont think Gervais is much of an actor, but hes said as much himself..

Have to say I think this looks pretty good. There's a wave of negativity around it, because I think Gervais is someone people love to hate, but the film itself looks good enough to go see at the flicks. I quite like Ricky Gervais in spite of myself. I loved the Office, and Extras had some brilliant moments too. I think he sometimes neeRAB to get over himself (the Millman character in Extras became too close to the real man for comfort, and was a bit preachy), but he is genuinely a funny bloke. Great live too.

But yeah this looks a good movie. I'll ignore the hate! :D

Well, ignoring the 3 teenagers who giggled and chatted throughout the film and the woman who found it more interesting to text someone (I had to go and tell her to put her phone off and stop annoying the rest of the audience after 15 minutes of it) yes, I enjoyed the film.

I've only ever seen Ricky Gervais in 'Night at the Museum' before but it worked for me. He was fine as a miserable dentist who finRAB a kind of redemption. There were some very moving scenes,
when he finally helps out the dead people and they don't have to hang around with unfinished business anymore.
7/10

Went to see this this afternoon but it was sold out! Gutted.
I take it its getting most of the people who dont want to see High School Musical or Saw V.

I am really annoyed beacuse Ghost Town is not being shown at my local six screen Cineworld. Why? Because High School Musical is taking up three screens! And they have gone with Saw V as the other new film to show. I was really looking forward to seeing Ghost Town but the nearest cinema to me showing it is 25 miles away. And with quantum Of Solace this weekend I doubt it will turn up so looks like a four month wait for the dvd!
