Sorry if this is a repetitive question, but I never seem to be able to find a definitive answer. So, here goes: How long do you have to say in the US to get permanent residency and what do you have to do?
We're applying for colleges in our international school and since I can't even read or write anything other than english I want to get a job over in the States.
The problem is, I want to be a cop, and with the citizenship/residency requirements, I'm finding it near impossible. Help me? The fact that I can't read or write anything other than english means that I can never join the Department where I come from.
And I've always wanted to serve in the states anyway.
