Getting station in the Air Force after boot camp....?

My brother is leaving for Lacklund AFB on 01.06.09 and I was wondering if anyone might be able to tell me where he might get stationed. He wants to do aircraft mechanics. If he does well and does what he's told what is the likelihood of him getting his 1st or 2nd choice of places to be stationed? His choices in order were the following:
1. McCord AFB-Tacoma, WA
2. Patrick AFB-Cocoa Beach, FL
3. McGuire AFB-New Jersey

Serious answers only, please.
Thank you for all of your info. He graduates on March 6th and starts tech school March 9th and then it's 6 months of training. From there he'll get his walking papers. I guess we'll see what happens. Thanks again! Happy New Year to you all!
Thanks, I'm sure sure my brother will keep in close contact with me too beings how were best friends. I was just curious as a sister due the fact that he and I live on 2 separate coasts at present.
 
He may get one of those, or none of those. The Air Force will put him where they need him, if it fits one his choices, then they may put him there.
 
there is no telling where your brother will be stationed. yes you fill out a "wish list" but it does not guarantee that you will get one of those bases. You are put wherever the Air Force needs you to be. After boot camp, your brother will go to tech school, either at Lackland, Sheppard, Keesler, or Goodfellow, before he goes to his first duty station. I'm sure your brother will be in contact with you and let you know where he is going.
 
Yes, you do get to fill out a "wish list", but in truth, his station will be determined by the following criteria:

1. Needs of the Air Force
2. Test scores and evaluations
3. Personal preference.

It really depends on what aircraft he does maintainance for. If he gets fighters; he won't be on a base that has heavies and vice versa.

NOTE for USAF Cop: March and Bergstrom were closed in 1993. Whoever decided it would be a good idea to close Bergstrom needed to be closed should have been shot.
