Getting My First New Car.....HELP?

okay, so im graduating this june from high school, and i need a car. Im looking for a nice car, like KIA Sportage, Jeep Wrangler, Honda CR-V, Honda Element, or the new KIA Soul.

I would loveeee the Kia Soul, but i dont know if i can afford it. I have no credit history because i dont have a credit card. My mom doesnt have good credit. What are my chances of getting the KIA Soul - its 18,000 plus taxes.
Should i stick with a used KIA Sportage, Jeep Wrangler,or Honda Element?

Most mechanics will tell you that Jeeps are a piece of crap (my grandfather has owned a garage for 40 years and says dont buy one) I dont know about Kia's, but Honda's will last you about 10 years easy. they are one of the best running cars and most reliable. A lot of American made car companies are offering big deals and such, I know that financing is cheaper on a new car than a used car!! Talk them down, you should be able to get the car for super super cheap because of the economy!!! I owulndt do an SUV I would do a car, something like a honda civic or a toyota Yaris or toyota Prius (they are gonna save you on gas & be reliable) hope i helped. :)
