My skin is not bad but I would love for it to be perfect when I get married. I currently take 100mg spironolactone, yaz, and differin cream. I don't want to go the oral antibiotics route.
Any ideas for what would push my skin over the edge? :) I'm not sure my skin could handle the differin .3, but I might try it anyways. Any suggestions for a morning topical?

Avoid dairy and sugar, drink enough water, and get plenty of sleep. I wouldn't start any new topicals especially if the wedding isn't too far off. There's the chance, albeit small, of having an allergic reaction to some topicals, which would be worse than acne. I get quite a bit of success from benzoyl peroxide gel, but it can cause quite a bit of irritation until your skin gets used to it, and generally isn't advised to be used with prescription topicals unless recommended by your doctor or dermatologist.

did your skin clear up well with the spiro and yaz. my niece just started it and her doctor said to take 200mg spiro but she only started with 100. maybe you need to up your dosage to 200. how bad is your skin now?

Yes the spiro helped. I had considered asking them to up my dosage but I'm not sure they will as it is my endocrinologist who prescribed it for a hormonal irabalance, not for my skin issues. I don't get any zits, even when I'm not using the differin, since I started the spiro 4 years ago. I still have some bumps and blackheaRAB. Is she taking 200mg AND yaz? That would be more than most will prescribe I think... Building up to my max dose helped me deal with the diuretic side effect until I adjusted.
