Getting Charter internet only, no cable?

I know it's possible (duh) and they charge $10 a month more without a cable package.

However, how naggy are they? I heard people talking about ordering internet from a cable company (Comcast, Charter, Time Warner, etc) and then being "nudged" regularly to get cable. "But it's only $9.99 a month for the first 6 months... basically free cable! It's 250 channels! And after 6 months it's only $19 a month!"

I simply want high-speed internet without cable and without any nagging for cable. I don't watch TV and I can find plenty of shows on Hulu and other places if needed. Is Charter (cable company) a good choice in this regard?
