I'm volunteering at a local hospital this summer. But before I start they need to be sure that I'm immune to hepatitis B. In order to find out, they need to test my blood to make sure the vaccine is effective. Is this something I should or should not eat before?
Also I've never gotten blood drawn before and I'm REALLLY scared. I know it only pinches for a second when you get a shot but a shot is on your arm and these go right in the inside of your arm, where the skin is more sensitive. Any tips? ):
They're also doing a tuberculosis test (they do these yearly on staff) where they inject something into me then monitor a few days later. Has anyone ever gotten this who can describe it for me?
