I have a mole on my right cheek. When I was about 16 I wanted to get it removed and my family doctor referred me to a place where I could go and get it removed. I went to the place and they told me to wait until I was 18 and they warned me that I'd get a scar where my mole was on my cheek.
I'm now 21 and I would really like to get it removed but I'm scared of getting a really bad scar that's hard to cover up. I have some questions.
How hard is it to cover up the scar with makeup after you get the mole removed and is it easier to hide with makeup than when you had the mole? Is the process really painful? I live in Ontario, Canada...how much would this procedure cost? Is the scar bigger than the mole was and would it be a really bad scar?
I feel really embarrassed especially when I have my hair up in a ponytail and I always feel like people are staring at me.
