Getting a fish......?

Im getting a few fishes for my room..
I want a simple pretty fish 9No goldfish) Ive never actually had a fish beofre so i have no clue what too get.
I want something thats under 30 dollars that is really colorful and can live in room temp :)

well, does this $30 include the tank? fish keeping is not a cheap hobby, especially to set a tank up. how large of a tank are you looking for?

before I can recommend fish I need to know tank size.
