Get your extended battery now!!!!!!!!

You have a defective unit. Simple as that. Go exchange it. Even with constant usage and wifi, 3g, GPS, it should still last about 3 maybe 4 hours minimum. Believe me, I know, as I use mine like a mini laptop as well, running multiple apps and streaming music / video over wifi or 3g.
 
It looks like the battery contacts are on the side, so no, I don't think that one will work. But it is promising to see a 2000 maH battery in that same physical size, so it's just a matter of time....
 
I"m calling shenanigans on the battery, you figure with the battery life being "poor" someone would of bought this and posted a review of how amazing it is by now.
 
What was the increase? something like 1150 to 1600 mAH? So that's 1.39 times battery life... So, if the normal business user gets, let's say 4 hours, out of their G1, this will give them 4*1.4 or roughly 5 and a half hours. I'm sorry, for that little improvement, I'd be embarrassed to admit I spent $50. So I can't blame them for not speaking up. But again, that's just me. I think I'll add that to my sig now...
 
When can we expect a 2000 mah battery that actually fits in the phone? I really love the G phone except the battery life is annoying me. I charged it up before going to bed woke up and the battery was drained after 7 hours, without being used.

Everyone keeps saying turn off wifi, 3G, GPS, BT etc. that's of course no problem, but then why not go back to my old sony ericsson phone if I cant use any of the google phone's functions??
 
seems like the battery life gets better by the day..

i took it off the charger at 7am it;s not 2:30pm and i have 75% left.. by this time last week i had less then 50%

just as long as it lasts me a day i am good .. since i charge it everynight anyway regardless of what phone or how much battery i have left
 
I was surprised the other day I forgot to put my phone on the charger overnight, so it had been off the charger since about 4:00PM. Anyway, when I woke up the next morning (7:00), the phone was at 84%. No 3G, but wifi (and GPS) was on. I was impressed.
 
i dunno dude. i keep wifi, 3G, and GPS on all the time and i get great battery life still. Well let me correct that. I turn off Wifi when i leave the house but then i turn on bluetooth. Those are the only two that i toggle. My screen brightness is set to 30-35% though. From what i've seen with iphone owners they do the excact same thing and theres even a few that i know who keep 3G turned off unless theyre surfing the web.
Be glad you dont have an iphone. :p
 
Hey. I agree. I definately do not regret getting the g phone even though the battery isn't great. I didnt expect the battery life to be excellent either... And yes I'm very glad I dont have an iphone.

Hope we will in near future see updates that improve the battery life, and would be good with more powerfull batteries that fit in the phone. Let's wait and see...
 
yea just got my 2200mah battery a couple days ago. And boy do I luv my phone again!!!:) After conditioning it twice, I took it off the charger yesterday (Saturday) at 2:00pm and just put it back on the charger the following day (Sunday) at 9:00pm. Pretty good. Hope it stays like this. :D
 
I was thinking of ordering my battery from the website listed about 5 posts up but dont know if the sell to the US and how much it would be in dollars.
