Get out of your t-mobile contract

So a few months a ago I added a second line onto my account to get a sidekick for my girlfriend. well we split up this past weekend and she barly used the phone line. I remember reading about the t-mobile txt increase so i called and thought I would give it a try.

I called yesterday said that I read that there was an increase in my text message plan and since I don't have text on that line I don't agree to the increase. I was placed on hold for about 5 minutes the rep came back and said that is fine I can cancel it for you at no charge. She told me that we have until the 23rd of AUG to cancel the service.

so I was able to cancel that line no ETF and was put on a single plan. It's simple and easy.

just wanted to share my thoughts

i'm thinking since i'm on the family unlimited messaging plan that this wont work...right?

I have read so many differant things saying this works or it does not. My suggestion is take off the plan then call the next day to do it.

Was .15 and now it's going up to .20

see I had an extra line that my ex-girlfriend was using but we parted ways and I got stuck paying for the line.

~via BB (wap.rabroad.com)~this will work with any major carrier. If they make any changes monitary or otherwise that will have an "adverse effect" the exact verbage varries from carrier to carrier. But, it comes down to the same if the carrier makes a change to the original contract submited by carrier and agreed to by customer. There is a "loop hole" in the terms and conditions that allows the customer to cancel without an etf. Happens with all carriers if you wait and pay attention to "lituratue" included with bill.

Im sure it has something to do with the fact that you had a second line for only amonth . and aslong as u were still going to be putting money in tmo pocket then they didn't really care about that second line being shutoff.
Just a thought. ..

i've heard about this...i too have an unsed line that i want to get rid of...only problem is, is that i called this week and had them shut off text messages on the line, cause i kept getting texts from someone i never even heard of...i'm wondering if i can still complain about the price increase since i did that

~via BB (wap.rabroad.com)~ I miss tmo, the plans were priced just right, CS was the best! Just never had service and the phones wouldn't roam on (old) Cingular. So I was forced to go back to verizon. No real regrets, I just love to swap phones (sim cards make it easy)
